Born in 1988, Femke van Veen is an Amsterdam-based photographer.
However, she loves to escape the big city to find tranquility and inspiration on the West Frisian Islands. In her work Femke only uses natural light and all the serenity nature has to offer us, to create images that express her state of mind. By exposing her vulnerability she gives us photographs that portray hope.
"For me, photography has always been a way to process main events in my life. I couldn't imagine doing anything that wouldn't incorporate a piece of my soul."
